PURPOSE/SERVICES: The Vocational Rehabilitation program was established to help restore or develop the working ability of physically and mentally disabled Kansans to the extent that they may become gainfully employed. Services include vocational guidance and counseling assistance in obtaining an appropriate job, diagnostic examinations and purchasing prosthetic devise and training.
ELIGIBILITY: Mental and physical disability that constitutes a substantial handicap to employment. There must be a reasonable expectation that Vocational Rehabilitation services will benefit the individual in terms of employment.
AREA SERVED: Johnson County, Kansas
FEES: Some services based on economical need.
HOURS: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
