Discover the Power of Volunteering

Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation's compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain love for one another. --Erma Bombeck

Volunteering can be an exciting, growing, enjoyable experience. It is truly gratifying to serve a cause, practice one's ideals, work with people, solve problems, see benefits, and know one had a hand in them. --Harriet Naylor

The Johnson County Area Agency on Aging offers many opportunities to volunteer and enrich your life as well as the lives of others. There are many diverse opportunities to serve

Senior Health Insurance Counselors are trained to provide information and assistance to people with questions about Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance options. They also help seniors with access to low-cost or more affordable prescription drugs.

Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love. --Martin Luther King Jr.

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. --Edmund Everett Hale
