Repairs to Mobile Homes
Due to the nature of the funding provided for this program, there are restrictions on the types of services provided to Mobile Homes.
In general, these repairs are health and safety related.
Repairs on manufactured homes are limited to those that were built after 1974. Verification of the date built will be required.
Repairs that can be made are limited to the following:
Minor electrical repairs (e.g. replacement of an electrical outlet or broken light switch, non-operating light fixture etc.)
Electrical entrance service (only if the pedestal already exists)
Minor plumbing (e.g. faucet replacement, p-trap replacement, clearing of clogged drain, etc.)
Service to Air-conditioners ( not replacement)
Service to Furnace (not replacement)
Accessibility ramps may be provided if:
a) The client owns both the mobile home and the land and it is on a permanent foundation or
b) The client owns the mobile home and holds a 99 year lease on the land.
Ramps cannot be provided if the unit is rented, or if the unit is in mobile home park on a month-to-month lease.
