Nursing homes provide comprehensive care services for frail seniors and are often the best setting for disabled older persons with multiple health problems. Nursing home care may be funded privately, through long-term care insurance, Medicare (for post-hospital skilled nursing facility care only), or through Medicaid (application is made through the Kansas Department of Social & Rehabilitation Services at 826-7300.)
