What tax preparation assistance is available to older adults and low-income households?

Currently, there is no volunteer tax preparation assistance available in De Soto. Persons are encouraged to go to the Johnson County Central Resource Library in Lenexa, located at 9875 W. 87th Parkway, (87th and Farley). The De Soto MSC is able to assist persons with Kansas Homestead and Food Sales Tax refund programs.

How do I register to vote at the De Soto MSC?

Johnson County residents who wish to register to vote may do so at the De Soto MSC or by contacting the Johnson County Election Office.

What does it cost to use the notary service at the De Soto MSC?

Notary public service is available at the De Soto MSC. There is no charge for this service. Please call to make an appointment.

How do I access legal services at the De Soto MSC if I am an older adult?

Kansas Legal Services provides legal consultation free of charge. A representative of Kansas Legal Services is available to meet with residents on an appointment-only basis. Please call the De Soto MSC to inquire about the schedule and to make an appointment.
